About Kevin Brine

Kevin R. Brine, son of the former TIME magazine journalist Ruth Brine, is an independent scholar, author and artist living in Santa Barbara, California. His published books include Finance in America: An Unfinished Story (2017), co–authored with Mary Poovey; The Sword of Judith: Judith Studies across the Disciplines (2010), co-edited with Elena Ciletti and Henrike Lähneman; Objects of Enquiry: The Life, Contributions and Influences of Sir William Jones (1746-1794) (1994), co-edited with Garland Cannon; and, The Porch of the Caryatids: The Drawings, Paintings and Sculptures of Kevin R.
